Papers are invited on the application of remote sensing to polar research for a special issue of the Canadian Journal of Remote Sensing:
Remote Sensing Innovations During the International Polar Year. Papers are solicited from all application areas including the marine and terrestrial cryosphere, land cover and ecology, geology, education, outreach, and policy. Contributions from endorsed IPY projects are encouraged, but all submissions dealing with remote sensing of the polar regions will be considered.
The special edition is being guest edited by Drs. Chris Derksen and Paul Treitz. Those intending to submit a manuscript should contact either of the guest editors by email before Sunday, 1 February 2009.

After contacting the guest editors with your intent to submit a manuscript, papers should be submitted, by 30 June 2009, via the CJRS Manuscript Central site: http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/cjrs-jct.
