For the past 12 years, Carolee has worked tirelessly for IISD and has been instrumental in the coordination and promotion of their leadership development and training programs, intended for young Canadian professionals. One of Carolee’s greatest achievements and her legacy in the UArctic will be the work she has done with IISD’s Circumpolar Young Leaders’ Program, a program providing northern Canadian youth with training and work experience at leading organizations in Arctic countries. The UArctic has benefited greatly from the work of CYLP interns since 2001, a commitment in which Carolee played an integral part. Carolee was also IISD’s Council Representative and participated in several other UArctic meetings and events, often bringing along interns with her.
Once again, all the best Carolee and many thanks for your enthusiasm and commitment to the UArctic. If UArctic could leave you with some friendly advice- beware of locked saunas and cold February nights!
