Coffee and lunch will be served in the old part of the University Main Building (coffee break 11-11:30, lunch 12:30-13:15). Follow the signs on the second floor!

Coffees and lunches at the University of Oulu (Mon-Thurs)

Morning and afternoon coffees are served in the lobbies located at the Environmental Sciences building (next to IT meeting rooms) and in the main lobby next to Saalasti Hall. The Ask UArctic coffee break chats take place at the UArctic Info Desk (just outside Saalasti Hall).

On Monday, the Ice Breaker Lunch is served at the Tellus Innovation Arena. For Wednesday and Thursday, you will receive lunch tickets with which you can eat at any open restaurant at the university – there are several on-campus options to choose from. You will get the lunch tickets when you pick up your Congress badge. Please take good care of them, as we will not replace lost tickets.

Drinking water

The Congress follows the Green Meetings concept, which is why we won’t hand out plastic water bottles. In Finland the tap water is one of the purest in the world, so we recommend that you bring your own water bottle which you can refill from any tap at the Universities, the Congress venues, hotels, etc. This includes the washrooms – the water tastes just as great as everywhere else!
