Abstract text

Preservation and strengthening of the health of the population in the severe climatic and geographic conditions of the North is a priority strategic task of the executive authorities, medical science, practical health care and innovative development of the region, and providing high-quality food with national security and raising living standards. The results of the assessment of the actual nutrition of the population in various medical and economic zones of the republic (industrial, agricultural, arctic) are presented by the method of frequency analysis of food consumption. The sample of studies was 6760 adults. By standardized methods of determining the frequency of consumption and daily reproduction of power, the basic parameters and components of the actual nutrition and food habits are established. Inadequate consumption of such food products as dairy, fish, meat products, including products made from local food raw materials, and national dishes has been revealed. The results are a medical and biological justification for finding ways to optimize the structure of the population's nutrition, creating specialized products for functional purposes and preventing conditions and diseases associated with eating disorders and determining the innovative development of the republic in the development of biotechnologies for the production of health products for various groups of the population. The study was carried out within the framework of the project "The problem of valorization and popularization of the food culture of the peoples of the North in modern conditions (by the example of Yakutia)" (supported by RGNF, application No. 17-21-08001).
