Presentations from a wide range of disciplines in the natural and social sciences are welcomed. The research presented employs cutting-edge methods to address the complex issues related to marine and freshwater socio-ecological systems and includes topics such as fisheries management and governance, marine spatial planning, coastal communities and regional development, local and traditional food systems, innovations in aquaculture, and global markets for fisheries and aquaculture products. The aims of the session are to 1.) communicate recent research findings through presentations and 2.) identify areas for future collaboration in Arctic research and education through a panel discussion.
