The Round Table session will discuss the establishing of a network of experts in the field of gender equality. The purpose of a network is to promote and expand the dialogue on gender equality in the Arctic region to secure a flow of information on gender equality policy to increase effectiveness and avoid overlapping of activites and work. The focus of this session is to inspire the Arctic Council to include gender equality perspective all their work, activities and projects. The idea of a network for experts on gender equality in the Arctic region was introduced at the conference Gender Equality in the Arctic arranged in Akureyri, Iceland in 2014.
Networks, researchers and experts are invited to discuss how a network of experts can promote the dialogue on gender equality in the Arctic region.
