R/V Sanna, Greenland Institute of Natural Resources
R/V Sanna is primarily used in sheltered waters of Greenland. It is equipped with a variety of instuments for collection of fish and environmental investigations.
The research vessel (456 GT) was finished in March 2012 and arrived in Nuuk in April. The vessel is mainly used for investigations in sheltered waters of Greenland halibut, crab, and cod, as well as sample collection in connection with environmental investigations. The vessel is equipped with trawl, A-frame for handling large instruments (e.g. chonical traps, trotlines, and hydrographic equipment. The vessel has e.g. two wet-laboratories, one dry-laboratory and freezer-facilities. Further, the vessel has a large and flexible work deck.
The vessel has a crew of 6 people, and houses up to 10 scientists/technicians.
