Aquaculture Facility
State-of-the-art aquaculture research facility with advanced systems and laboratories.
The Aquaculture Facility, part of the Centre for Aquaculture and Seafood Development (CASD) at the Marine Institute, features five independent recirculating systems capable of using both fresh and saltwater. It also includes two flow-through freshwater systems, a live food culture laboratory for zooplankton and algae, a quarantine laboratory, a feed preparation area, a necropsy laboratory, a bacteriology laboratory, a histopathology laboratory, and an alarm monitoring system with 24-hour on-call personnel. This facility supports cutting-edge research in aquaculture, seafood development, and aquatic health.
