Bodø, Norway – The Pomor III Project Closing Conference is happening here June 12-14 2006.
The conference will provide a dynamic arena for developing common understanding, strengthening networks and for opening up new fields of research, teaching and practice. Experiences from the Pomor projects will also be shared with colleagues from the University of Arctic.
The focus of the conference will be the ongoing globalisation process and will explore the challenges using different perspectives. The connection between Social Problems, Social Policy, Social Work Theory and Social Work Practice will be discussed. Researchers from Russia, Norway, South- Africa and Canada will introduce the topics in different contexts. Practitioners from different countries will also present their comprehension of specific concepts.
