Project Administrator
Look North! The Arctic is one of the world’s last great wild areas; a vast, partly-frozen sea surrounded by fjords, mountains, tundra and glaciers. It’s home to half a million indigenous people, and a rich array of wildlife, from plankton to polar bears, from arctic fox to reindeer, from seals to beluga whales. But the Arctic is increasingly under threat from climate change, oil and gas development, shipping, and over-fishing.

Help us make a difference. WWF, the global conservation organization, seeks a project administrator for its WWF International Arctic Programme, based in Oslo. The project administrator will provide administrative and financial support to a wide range of arctic conservation projects, assisting a dynamic and international team.
  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring appropriate financial management of projects, and training project staff in the use of financial information;
  • Drafting and managing contracts;
  • Providing administrative support for day-to-day management of projects.
Qualifications include a diploma in commercial studies, economics or accounting, as well as at least three to five years of financial, project management or accounting experience, preferably within an international organization or multinational company. The successful candidate will have excellent financial management and computer skills. The ability to work well in a team, and with different cultures, is essential.
Fluency in English is essential, as is a working knowledge of Norwegian.

Be a part of the solution. WWF, the global conservation organization, seeks a coordinator to lead its work in the Barents region. Based in Oslo, but working in both Russia and Norway, the coordinator will be responsible for development and coordination of WWF’s Barents Ecoregion project.

  • Identifying opportunities and setting priorities for WWF’s conservation work in the Barents Sea region
  • Developing and implementing a Barents Sea conservation strategy
  • Building relationships with governments, business, other NGOs and institutions at all levels, on both sides of the border
  • Representing WWF in international media on Barents Sea issues.
