The Conference will feature a variety of presentations, guest speakers, panel discussions and workshops on how to cope with climate change. Special guests include, Ambassador Bo Kjellén and UArctic President, Lars Kullerud. A delegation of students and researchers from the University of Lapland and Arctic Centre in Rovaniemi will also be attending the conference. Participants can expect to be meeting new friends and hammering out new strategies and initiatives for the North, including:

Jokkmokk Winter Conference is part of the weeklong Jokkmokk Winter Market – a major international event of culture, entertainment and handicraft that attracts some 40.000 visitors during a few intensive days. The Winter Market is a Sami tradition since 1602.
