The Session will address the following questions:
1. What scientific paradigm can provide a framework for other ways of knowing;
2. How understanding of Indigenous scientific paradigm can support the incorporation of Indigenous knowledge into research; and
3. How IPY (2007-08) and Inuit have influenced the shaping of a new research legacy for Inuit Nunangat, Canada, and globally.

UArctic's Vice-President Indigenous, Jan Henry Keskitalo, together with Council Chair Jim McDonald, Wilp Wilxo'oskwhl Nisga'a Institute's Deanna Nyce and Sami Education Institute's Liisa Holmberg will present in the session Indigenous Knowledge: From Understanding other ways of Knowing to Indigenous Participation in Research in the Arctic.
