Support for UArctic from Arctic Parliamentarians

The 10th Conference of Parliamentarians of the Arctic Region was held in Akureyri, Iceland from September 5-7, 2012. In their conference declaration, the parliamentarians once again reaffirmed their support of the University of the Arctic, asking their governments to "Continue to strength[en] cooperation between the University of the Arctic and the indigenous peoples’ organizations." and "Develop a more structured partnership with the University of the Arctic, the International Arctic Science Committee, International Arctic Social Sciences Association and other relevant organizations."
