Each twinning project should consist of at least one EU-funded project consortium, and one Canadian project funded either at the federal or provincial level. Canadian project participants may include researchers and innovators from universities, research institutions or from the private sector. Both projects should be either running or have been completed less than two years prior to the proposal submission deadline. Only one submission is allowed per collaboration.
Applications may align with any thematic area, however, priority will be given to submissions within the key areas of aeronautics, space, the Arctic, health, ITC, marine and maritime research, food security and sustainable agriculture.
The following costs are eligible for funding:
- travel costs: economy or second class tickets;
- subsistence costs such as accommodation, meals and local transportation;
- event organisation costs, for which a maximum of €500 may be claimed for workshops or meetings, varying on number of participants.
Personnel costs are not covered. The overall budget available for this call is €30,000. Applicants may apply for up to €6,000 per project.
