The main purpose of the competition is to promote and support scientific cooperation between Russian and European scientists in the framework of the BONUS programme. Competition conditions provide funding for the Russian participants of joint projects by the RHF and funding for foreign participants by the Baltic Sea research and development programme (BONUS EEIG).
The competition is open to projects with international research teams from at least four countries: Russia and the three EU countries (or countries associated with the EU), at least two of whom must be from the BONUS region (Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Sweden).
RHF provides financial support to a maximum of 1 million rubles per one project each year with a maximum financing period for 3 years.
