The III International Belomorskiy Student Forum was rich in opportunities for discussion and communication. The educational exhibition Barents EDUenabled the participants to have a closer look at academic mobility opportunities in the North. Representatives of UiT – the Arctic University of Norway and the University of Lapland presented educational programs that might be interesting for Russian students. UArctic stand attracted students’ attention through presentation of north2north mobility program and online Study Catalogue.
A highly valued addition to the Forum’s programme was the cultural Barents Bird Festival. This event guided Forum participants in Norwegian culture through music, dance and visual arts, open lectures by politicians, diplomats and cultural figures of the Barents Region (among them - Erlend Loe, world known Norwegian writer).
At the sum-up session Forum participants presented their own projects titled “My Model of International Cooperation”.Despite different approaches and visions, all projects shared common view of international cooperation as the base for understanding and greater opportunities for future generations.
