UArctic’s member universities took part in this Forum.
Russian State Hydrometeorological University was presented in the forum’s exposition with the information stand about scientific expeditions and research in the Arctic and Antarctica, unique programs for staff training for north latitude. RSHU took part in further sessions: «Staff training and provision of employment of the Arctic zone», «Science and higher education», «Climate change and its consequences for RF Arctic zone».

Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) was presented by the Arctic State Institute of Arts and Culture in working session «Sustainable development of Indigenous peoples of the Arctic: traditions and modern age». Issues on social and economic development of the Arctic zone, traditional way of life, liaison of industrial companies, public authorities and indigenous peoples in conditions of industrial development and improving the quality of life of indigenous peoples were discussed in this session.

Business meetings and negotiations with representatives of the regions were held at the Forum.
The ways of cooperation in staff training for the Arctic region and in matters of scientific and practical association were traced.
More than 1,200 delegates from Russia and foreign countries took part in the main arctic event of the year.
