We will continue the practice of organizing a UArctic Students’ Forum in conjunction with the Rectors’ Forum. In this respect, you are invited to sponsor one graduate student or rising senior undergraduate student from your institution to participate in the student program. If your institution is already hosting a UArctic Student Ambassador, we would strongly encourage you to bring them to the UArctic Students’ Forum in Umeå as your student representative. Your institution will be responsible for the costs associated with the participation of your student representatives (i.e. registration fee, travel expenses and accommodation cost).
Registration and other information can be found at the UArctic website and the Rectors’ Forum and Student programs are posted there as well.
The early bird registration deadline for rectors, students and spouses will be May 15th.
The theme of this Rectors’ Forum is “Challenges of Arctic Research”. We believe that the theme addresses important issues for all universities of the Circumpolar North, to which distinguished experts, key-note and panel speakers willset the stage for discussions and dialogue among participants.
In addition, an optional post-forum excursion to the world heritage area Höga Kusten is also on offer.
