The contest is held for the second time in cooperation with the Security Council of the Russian Federation, OS "Novatek", Russian Association of Indigenous Peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East and the Russian Geographical Society. Information partner of the contest is the information agency "Arctic-Info".
The main goal of the contest is the consolidation of intellectual and creative young people interested in modern technology research and development of the Arctic.
Pupils of secondary schools and university students are welcome to take part in the contest.
Main topics of the contest:
• comfort and safety of human life in the Arctic;
• Arctic equipment and technologies (mining, bio-resources development, processing, transport and logistics);
• environmental protection and conservation of animals and plants’ rare species;
• preservation of historical and cultural heritage of Arctic exploration.
There are already about 30 applications sent to the organizers from different Russian universities and colleges - from St. Petersburg to the Far East, from Karelia to Altai. The contest has involved students from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after I.M. Gubkin as well as Siberian, Far East, South, North-Eastern Federal Universities and others.

The second part of the contest will be held in Arkhangelsk at the international conference where the contest commission will determine the best works.
