Singapore Cooperation Programme (SCP) is Singapore’s primary platform for sharing their development experience with other countries. To date, close to 100,000 officials from over 170 countries have participated in their programmes.
The SCP would like to support more meaningful interactions between Singapore and the Arctic indigenous peoples, for which they have developed the Singapore-Arctic Council Permanent Participants (AC PP) Cooperation Package.
The SCP now offers scholarships tenable at Singapore’s universities for the following Master's programs:
- Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy – Master in Public Policy
- Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy – Master in Public Administration
- Nanyang Technological University – Master of Science in Maritime Studies
The Singapore-AC PP postgraduate scholarship is a full scholarship covering programme fees, living expenses and round-trip economy airfares to Singapore.
To be eligible, applicants must
- have indigenous background, and
- gain admission to one of the Master's programs outlined in the attachment, based on their own merit.
Interested parties will need to apply for these programmes through the universities’ individual application portals – more information about their application procedures can be found on their websites (see the attachment). Do note that the application period for 2015 programmes is now closed, so you can only apply for 2016 programmes when the application period commences in August 2015 (for Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy) and January 2016 (for Nanyang Technological University).
The eligibility criteria for each programme can be found in the attachment. More information on the courses is available on the University websites.
