The event is annually organized by two Russian UArctic members – Baikal State University of Economics and Law and North-Eastern Federal University – as well as a number of other departments and organizations.
The work of the forum was divided into thematic sections:
1) "Geopolitics and lawmaking in the development of Arctic territories"
Participants discussed the status of the Arctic territories, delimitation of internal and external borders, a draft law on the Russian Arctic zone, environmental issues and protection of the indigenous peoples’ rights.
2) "Geo-economic prospects of the Arctic"
Participants discussed indigenous peoples of the Arctic in terms of preserving their traditional way of life. The possibility and expediency of tax "zeroing" for entrepreneurs in the North was also taken into account for future economic development of the northern regions.
3) "Education and culture in the Arctic"
This section was attended by many young people who actively expressed their opinion. The topics were related to the formation of the common educational space, indigenous culture, career guidance in schools, polytechnic education in the development of industry and agriculture, strengthening the legal framework in relation to small schools, etc.

The final events of the festival will be held on September 3-4 within the framework of "Diamond Week in Yakutia".
