Adaptation Futures is the biennial conference of the Global Programme of Research on Climate Change Vulnerability, Impacts and Adaptation (PROVIA). In 2016 the European Commission and the Government of the Netherlands co-host the fourth edition. The conference offers to exchange new and practical ideas, experiences and insights on climate change adaptation. Adaptation Futures 2016 engages scholars, policymakers, business people and other experts from around the world.
The four-day event will offer many possibilities to meet and develop connections and partnerships. The conference has three plenary events with top-level speakers and smaller workshop sessions on science, practice and policy. The Arctic will be one of the seven themes in the conference. Participants can show and explain their solutions in an exhibition, make commercial contacts in a business fair and connect with their peers in field excursions to adaptation projects.
The call for abstracts and sessions (deadline 4 October) and the registration (early bird rate until 15 March) are now open.
