57 texts (43 prose works and 14 songs) were collected and translated into Russian by Lyudmila Bobrikova in the early 1960s. In 2011 L. Bobrikova donated her manuscripts to the Nenets Central Library.
The library together with the Naryan-Mar Social Humanitarian College spent two years working on a joint project "A Living Book of the Nenets Language", aimed at promotion of the Nenets verbal folklore. Librarians organized and digitized information from the manuscripts, which allowed the College creative team to shoot 9 videos with tales narrated in the Nenets language.
All the videos are available on youtube.com with subtitles in Nenets and Russian.
The Naryan-Mar Social Humanitarian College has prepared a DVD version as well to use it at schools as a part of the Nenets language teaching process.
