This year’s theme Tradition and Innovation presents a topical way the northern craft traditions, design and contemporary art. It also shows widely the potential for creative industries to meet the changes, challenges and new possibilities in the Arctic. The exhibition displays artworks from 65 artists and designers from eight different countries. The exhibition builds strongly on multidisciplinary arts. In addition to visual arts, the exhibition includes artworks using audio, video installations and design products and concepts from industrial design, ceramic, and textile art and clothing design and graphic design.

Exhibition is arranged in collaboration with University of Lapland and the Syktyvkar State University. The Curator Anelia Lyantsevich works as a Lecturer in Design at the Syktyvkar State University.

The Exhibition is open at the Syktyvkar State University gallery and the Revolt gallery from 13 November.
