The event is part of the ACCC Impact Week on Co-designing Science-based Solutions for Safe Climate and Clean Air (which runs from December 7-10, 2021).

About the AASCO: "The sustainable development of the Arctic regions under fast changing climate is built on science based knowledge. However, we currently lack a holistic process understanding of the Arctic and cold regions atmosphere – ocean – terrestrial ecosystems. The “Arena for the gap analysis of the existing Arctic Science Co-Operations (AASCO)” aims to bridge that gap."

The ACCC Impact Week will promote dialogue between Earth System scientists and society stakeholders interested in co-creation of science-based solutions for climate change and air quality.

Also taking part in the event on December 9 is UArctic's President Lars Kullerud, UArctic Chair Jeff Welker and this years winner of The Frederik Paulsen Arctic Academic Action Award, Trevor Bell.
