The conference aims to explore the different transitions within Arctic climate governance, which are necessary to address the increasing societal, climate and sustainability challenges the Arctic is facing. It will focus on Arctic socio-economic systems and the different legal, political, geographical and cultural regimes at play. The conference is organized around four thematic sessions addressing the following topics: Setting the Scene, Climate Vulnerability, Shipping and Resources. There will also be a poster session for Early Career Researchers. Selected paper presentations will have the option to be published in a Special Issue.

The colleagues from a minority background and Early Career Researchers from all disciplines are specifically encouraged to submit an abstract. There is no registration fee for the conference. Travel costs and accommodation in Copenhagen can be covered for speakers upon request and depending on the availability of funds. Please indicate if you need financial support when submitting your paper proposal.

All proposals should be submitted by the 1st of August 2022 to beatriz.martinez.romera@jur.ku.dk. Authors will be informed of the final decision by the 15th of August 2022.
