The newly elected Board Chair is Frederik Paulsen, who has served as a Board member since 2017 and as a Chair of the Board’s Philanthropic Fundraising Advisory Group Týr since 2019. His term as a Board Chair is three years (2022-2025).
The new Board members are Aaja Chemnitz Larsen, member of the Greenlandic Parliament and Birgitta Bergvall-Kåreborn from the Luleå University of Technology, Sweden. They become members of the Board of UArctic for a three-year term (2022-2025).
The Assembly also re-elected Magnus Tumi Guðmundsson from University of Iceland and Robert Sauvé from Université Laval for their second terms (2022-2025), and Jouko Niinimäki from University of Oulu for his third term (2022-2025).
Montana Rose Murphy from the Dartmouth College was elected as Student Representative on the Board for a fixed three-year term 2022-2025.

The Assembly also acknowledged the contributions made by Peter Sköld from Umeå University, who concluded his term as the Board Chair (2018-2022, before that Board member 2016-2018), and thanked him for his dedication as the Board Chair to guide UArctic through and exciting period of transition and development. In addition, the Assembly acknowledged and wished to thank Laurie-Ann Lines from University of Alberta for her contributions and time as a Student Representative on the Board of UArctic (2019-2022).
