The 2022 September Sea Ice Outlook (SIO) Report is now available online. The Sea Ice Outlook, managed by the Sea Ice Prediction Network–Phase 2 (SIPN2) Project Team, provides an open process for those interested in Arctic sea ice to share predictions and ideas.



Patti Bruns, the newly appointed Secretary-General of the Arctic Mayors Forum, and Tuula Rintala-Gardin, Director of International Relations for the City of Rovaniemi, met with the UArctic International Secretariat at the Univeristy of Lapland on Sept 20.

SIOI – UNA Italy and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Italy, in collaboration with the High North Center for Business and Governance – Nord University (Bodø), launch the International Symposium “The Great Challenge of the Arctic: perspectives and changes for a peaceful cooperation”.








UArctic member Institute of the North and its partners has announced the Arctic Resilient Communities Youth Fellowship (ARC-YF), which is a new initiative to educate and train young community leaders (age 18-23) to both serve a direct role in and benefit from the prosperity of resilient Arctic communities.
