In the Arctic, the marine food supply chains play the most important part for the population. The environmental toxins is further bio-magnified in the course of the many links in the food chain, where the exposure of the top predators and local population is significantly higher than at lower latitudes.
The publication includes a full assessment of the environmental condition in the Arctic Region. There is a special focus on Greenland with emphasis on the lack of knowledge concerning animals and people’s health and the dynamics of the ecosystem, including neuro doctrine effects, immune modulation and bone density.
