Proposals for the 10th International Congress of Arctic Social Sciences (ICASS X) can be submitted until 18 October 2020. The event will take place in Arkhangelsk, Russia, 15-19 June 2021.

Nord University and UiT Arctic University of Norway, with participation from Northern Arctic Federal University NARFU, collaborated in making a pilot exercise for students in February 2020.

A recent graduate from Aalborg University, Monica Gamba has just started her internship experience at the UArctic Thematic Network and Research Liaison Office, Thule Institute at the University of Oulu, where she will spend the next four months. 

The book presents a comprehensive assessment of climate dynamics and anthropogenic impact on biota, environment and nature management in the Murmansk region - one of the most industrially developed regions of the Russian Arctic - with special focus on changes in the life of the Sami - the indigenous people of the region.
