Inuit student Chaim Andersen of Memorial University of Newfoundland took the Chemistry Outreach program to her hometown of Nain, Labrador to showcase relevance of chemistry in traditional Inuit life and culture.

A new intern from the Labrador Institute (Memorial University of Newfoundland) has started her internship at UArctic International Secretariat at the University of Lapland in Rovaniemi, Finland.

The international conference is organized by Ukhta State Technical University and takes place on February 1-2, 2018.The forum discusses topical problems of development of gas, gas condensate and oil and gas condensate fields.

The 2018 Labrador Institute Field School will take place in Upper Lake Melville, Labrador from July 2-August 3, 2018. Participants will develop skills valuable in the humanties, sciences, and social sciences through the study of place and heritage.

Durham University is pleased to announce a new doctoral training centre – the Durham Arctic Research Centre for Training and Interdisciplinary Collaboration (DurhamARCTIC) – that will fund 15 doctoral students pursuing degrees on Arctic-related topics. The application deadline for the Autumn 2018 cohort is 2 February 2018.
