Initiated in 2015, the KOPRI Fellowship Program aims to promote research collaboration and provide future generation scientists with networking and research opportunities. The participants will be provided with a round-trip airfare, moderate living expenses, and accommodation within the KOPRI facilities for a period up to 3 months.
The KOPRI Fellowship Program 2023 consists of three categories: Asia, Arctic and Antarctic.
- The KOPRI Arctic Fellowship Program
The KOPRI Arctic Fellowship is open to early career scientists from Arctic countries and researchers who are of Arctic indigenous heritage, who wishes to visit and conduct research at KOPRI for a period up to 3 months.
- The KOPRI Antarctic Fellowship Program
The KOPRI Antarctic Fellowship is open to early career scientists from Chile and New Zealand who wishes to visit and conduct research at KOPRI for a period up to 3 months.
- The KOPRI Asia Fellowship Program
The KOPRI Asia Fellowship is open to early career scientists from a country in Asia who wishes to visit and conduct research at KOPRI for a period up to 3 months.
To be eligible for ECS, the applicant should be either currently enrolled in a master or doctoral program or within 5 years of finishing their master or doctoral degree.
The fellowship is open to early career scientists from the respective countries according to the each program category and researchers who are of Arctic indigenous heritage in case of the KOPRI Arctic Fellowship Program.
