IARC is seeking support to help coordinate and track Arctic research activities across different research teams engaged at the forefront of Arctic science. A key part of this work is support of a project that seeks to improve benefits derived from long-term observations of Arctic change (Research Networking Activity for Sustained Coordinated Observations of Arctic Change.
Applicants should enjoy facilitating and communicating across teams and projects, be task-oriented, and an effective writer. The successful candidate will be maintaining the RNA CoObs website by writing and submitting annual and other reports, supporting a team of Indigenous liaisons and task teams focused on achieving greater equity in Arctic observing, maintaining and growing a network from the local to the pan-Arctic scale, and advancing observing system design and implementation.
Position requirements include a Master's degree and two to three years of progressive research experience at a postgraduate level in a field relevant to the research (e.g., science, public relations, journalism, communications, sociology, political science, economics, etc.), or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
